How we collect, use and protect your personal data — and the rights you have over it.

This Privacy Policy explains how Almekora Global (“Almekora Global”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you visit almekoraglobal.com (the “Website”) or contact us. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR and other applicable data protection laws.
1. Who we are (data controller)
Almekora Global is a garment buying house (sourcing agent) based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. For the purposes of applicable data protection law, we are the data controller of the personal data described in this policy.
Almekora GlobalHouse-15, Block-C, Main Road, Banasree, Rampura, Dhaka-1219, Bangladesh
Email (privacy): [email protected]

2. What personal data we collect
We only collect data that we need to respond to you and to run our sourcing services.
Data you give us
- Contact & enquiry data — your name, email address, company name, the enquiry type you select, and the details of your message (for example the product, quantity, target price, market and timeline you share).
- Correspondence — any further information you provide when you email, call or message us, or during a sourcing engagement.
Data we collect automatically
- Technical data — such as your IP address, browser type, device information and the pages you view, recorded in the server logs of our hosting and security provider for security and reliability. We do not currently use analytics or tracking cookies. See our Cookie Policy.
3. How and why we use your data
| Purpose | Lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Respond to your enquiry and provide a costing or sourcing plan | Your consent, and taking steps at your request before entering a contract |
| Provide sourcing, merchandising and quality-control services under an engagement | Performance of a contract; our legitimate interests in running our business |
| Send you relevant replies and follow-ups about your enquiry | Our legitimate interests in responding to and supporting prospective clients |
| Keep records, and comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations | Legal obligation; our legitimate interests |
| Protect the Website against spam, abuse and fraud | Our legitimate interests in security |
We do not use your contact-form data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not sell your personal data.
4. Cookies
The Website uses only the essential cookies needed to function and to stay secure. We do not currently use analytics, advertising or other tracking cookies, so no cookie consent banner is required. If this changes, we will update this policy and our Cookie Policy, and ask for your consent where required. Full details are in our Cookie Policy.
5. Who we share your data with
We share personal data only with trusted service providers who process it on our behalf, and only as needed:
- Hosting & security — our website host and content-delivery/security provider (Cloudflare).
- Email delivery — the service used to deliver your enquiry to our inbox (Amazon Web Services SES).
- Professional advisers and authorities — where required for legal, accounting or compliance reasons.
Where we work with a factory or partner to fulfil a sourcing engagement, we share only the information necessary to progress your order, and under appropriate confidentiality terms.
6. International data transfers
We are based in Bangladesh, and some of our service providers are located in the United States, the European Union and elsewhere. This means your personal data may be transferred to, and processed in, countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA) or the UK, which may not offer the same level of data protection. Where we transfer data internationally, we take steps to ensure an appropriate level of protection — for example by relying on the provider’s Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard, or on your consent. You can contact us for more information on the safeguards in place.
7. How long we keep your data
We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out above. Enquiry and correspondence data is generally retained for the duration of our discussions and any resulting relationship, plus a reasonable period afterwards to handle follow-up requests and to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- ask us to erase your data (“right to be forgotten”);
- restrict or object to our processing of your data;
- receive your data in a portable format (data portability);
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent; and
- lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within the timeframe required by law. If you are in the EEA or UK and believe we have not handled your data properly, you may complain to your local supervisory authority — but we would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.
9. How we protect your data
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), reputable service providers, and limiting access to data on a need-to-know basis. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to keep our measures under review.
10. Children
The Website and our services are intended for businesses and professionals, and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
12. Contact us
If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, contact us at [email protected] or by post at the address above.
